Creating Spaces for High Performance: Lighting

What kills the ambiance more than fluorescent lights?

Ambiance, it seems, should be the least of our worries. The spectral composition from fluorescent bulbs has been found to trigger fight or flight response via hormones.

It also seems to agitate the brain as the fluorescent light is more difficult for eyes to process. The light that emits from the fluorescent light bulbs alternates our pupil between blue spectral spikes and red light bursts. This constant switching is costly for our brain.

Time to get these ugly lights replaced with options that are better for our performance and wellbeing.
